AF Dawson Refurbishment

The AF Dawson Residence is a 1960s house designed by locally renowned Architect, Peter Heathwood. Few alterations have been made to the existing house over time, and our clients love their mid-century modern home. Our clients came to us knowing the bathroom was in need of attention: the terrazzo flooring and tiles were cracked, the existing vanity was from the 1980s and needed to be replaced. At the same time, they loved the blue bathtub, cushioned tiles and mosaics. While the house is not heritage listed, our clients wanted to take a respectful approach. The new bathroom has been restored to its former glory, with all the mod cons. The terrazzo flooring throughout the house was refurbished and the existing Japanese tiles were matched as closely as possible. The cabinetwork was in collaboration with cabinetmaker William McMahon.
